Meet your 2015 GFWW Board

The election results are in! Your 2015 GFWW board is:

President – Chris Crawford

Chris Crawford
Chris grew up with two loves; computers and writing fiction. When it came time to choose a career, he went with the former and has had a long, successful career as a software developer. But the stories continued to burn inside him. In 2013, Chris finally caved in and wrote his first manuscript, a religiously-charged piece of speculative fiction called “The Tuning Station”. He is putting in the finishing touches and expects it to be released sometime in 2015. He’s also currently working on his second project, a YA/dystopian novel tentatively titled “Ro and Jules across Heaven and Hell.”
Chris lives in Keller with his wife and three sons (two in college). In his day job, he develops software for The Container Store.

Vice President – Kimberly Walton

Kim_098Kimberly Packard began visiting her spot on the shelves at libraries and bookstores at a young age, gazing between the Os and the Qs.  Her first story about a forgotten, one-eyed teddy bear received rave reviews from her fourth grade teacher, and from there her love for the written word only grew.  Kimberly received a degree in journalism from the University of North Texas, and has worked in public relations and communications for nearly 15 years.
Kimberly is Vice President of her writers group, Greater Fort Worth Writers.  When she isn’t writing, she can be found rollerblading, doing a poor imitation of yoga or curled up with a book.  She resides in North Texas with her husband Colby, Jerome the cat and a 88-pound lap dog named Charlie.
Her debut novel, Phoenix, was awarded as Best General Fiction of 2013 by the Texas Association of Authors. Her second novel, Pardon Falls, will be released in 2015.
